About a moon and a rainbow

Ok, I am officially back in Sunny/Rainy Singapore! And on the way from one island to another, I saw half a moon and a rainbow suspended in midair. Bear in mind that I was in the plane at that particular point of time that those events happened. In the middle of the day. It was awesome!

No pictures to share though.

Just one of those days when you thank God for all He has done for us in this world.
Thank you, Lord.

Friday, The Thirteenth, Two Thousand And Eight

As cliche as it may sound... Today is Friday, The 13th. And there was no electricity and water the whole morning!!!! From 8am till now... 1pm.

This is due to a broken water mains line at the back of my block last night. And it gushed and gushed, into the electricity switchboard room downstairs. Voila! No electricity and water!

Arrival of the WYD Cross

Finally, it has arrived. The World Youth Day Cross has finally arrived in Perth.

When: July 15 - 20
Where: Sydney, Australia
Who: 500,000 expected
Why: You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses. (Acts 1:8)
How: Receive The Power

Ok, so those were the details of the actual WYD 2008 in Sydney. Now, to the more important stuff...

In the 1st pic on the left, is the Cross, and Father Kevin looking cool in sunnies.

And in this pic on the right, there I am on the extreme right, carrying the cross. And yes, it's super heavy. Wonder how Simon of Cyrene did it.

Anyway, it came, and it went. Went all the way from my college, around my college, across the busy road, all the way across school, and around the city.

Before that, it went to 9/11 WTC Ground Zero, North-South Korea Border, and some other places where there's unrest and disaster.

So, it's traveled a long way. Has been traveling since 1984! 24 years now.

Speaking of 24, age is catching up with me too. =)

I end this post with a reflection and lyrics to the WYD08 Theme Song, Receive the Power.
The passing of the Cross throughout the world has made me realised that in times of despair, even the youth of the world unite together to pray for a better future, the future for the next generation youths. And this will carry on in a cycle. It will never end. Just like God's Love for us. It will never end.

Lyrics - Receive the Power

Verse 1

Every nation, every tribe,

come together to worship You.

In Your presence we delight,

we will follow to the ends of the earth.

Chorus

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Receive the Power, from the Holy Spirit!

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Receive the Power to be a light unto the world!

Verse 2

As Your Spirit calls to rise

we will answer and do Your Will.

We'll forever testify

of Your mercy and unfailing love.

Chorus

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Receive the Power, from the Holy Spirit!

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Receive the Power to be a light unto the world!

Bridge

Lamb of God, we worship You,

Holy One, we worship You,

Bread of Life, we worship You,

Emmanuel, we worship You.

Lamb of God, we worship You,

Holy One, we worship You,

Bread of Life, we worship You,

Emmanuel, we will sing forever.

Chorus

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Receive the Power, from the Holy Spirit!

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Receive the Power to be a light unto the world
